Hello, I am Xiangru Chen, an international student at ESU. I earned two bachelor’s degrees (Journalism and Communication), and I am pursuing a master’s degree in IDT. I feel that when I try to study in different fields, I not only broaden my knowledge but also gain a deeper understanding of myself. I find that I really like designing and making visual information products. For example, my master’s project: redesigning a required undergraduate course at Shangrao Normal University called the Modern History of China. For me, IDT is the right choice. I will also pursue this kind of work in the future. Personally, I like photography, traveling, and gardening. I love to discover beauty through photography which gives me a new perspective to see the world, especially when shooting things around me. Traveling to many places really gives me an opportunity to experience the diversity and the beauty of the world and relax, and, gardening makes me feel peaceful.
